A new exhibition by award-winning photographer Mathew Harrison opened at The Yorkshire Arboretum this month. ‘Aether & Wood’ explores the landscape of the arboretum and the surrounding Howardian Hills, capturing the natural beauty of Ryedale throughout the seasons.
A talented photographer of gardens, landscapes and wildlife, Mathew Harrison is also Chief Operating Officer at The Yorkshire Arboretum, where he has worked for the last eight years.
“One of the simple joys in life, and a favourite of mine, is to walk in nature. To notice the mundane, and, in doing so, render them sacred. I feel very privileged to have such a stunning landscape around me in which to explore and it’s from my walks that this collection of photographs, ‘Aether & Wood’ first began.” Mathew Harrison
All the images in the collection were taken within a few miles of the arboretum.
