Do you have an eye for a good photo? Then why not enter our new photography competition which will be running all year? There are three categories:
Landscape – views of the arboretum,
People and Place - members, visitors, volunteers at the arboretum,
Flora and Fauna – trees, flowers, birds and animals.
There is a prize to be won for an adult and an under 16 in each class. Prizes include £25 vouchers for each class winner with a top prize of a £50 voucher which can be used for admission, in the shop or in the café.
We are looking for great shots that sum up what the arboretum means to people, which are your own work and are taken on site during 2017. The competition is open to all amateur photographers. Images, of up to 5MB, should be submitted to YAphotocomp@gmail.com by 14th January 2018 and include the title and category of your image(s), your name and contact details and date of birth if under 16 on 31st December 2017.
The shortlisted entries in each category will be displayed in the Visitor Centre next spring.
