Each of this series of Sunday morning walks explores a particular aspect of the life of trees, with the topic being illustrated using specimens in the arboretum’s collection.
The tours are all different and you are welcome to attend as many sessions as you like.
This first walk looks at what we can learn from the name of a tree:
The full name of a tree includes its family name. Trees which appear very different can, in fact, be closely related and, by looking in more detail, we will see how family resemblances show up in surprising and interesting ways.
Meet in the café at 10:30 ready to set off at 11am.
Normal admission applies.
