Meetings with Trees: Where Does It Come From?

  • Yorkshire Arboretum (map)

The third in a series of seven tours, each of which explores a particular aspect of the life of trees.

Some of the trees' ancestors have been here in this country for thousands of years while others have only recently arrived; the Yorkshire Arboretum is a place of extraordinary diversity. Today's tour will explore the different origins of our trees, looking at the tiny proportion that are native and finding out how the others got here.

We'll meet in the cafe at 10:30am and then set out to walk at 11am.
